WHAT IS KAMBO?
Kambo is the waxy secretion of the giant green monkey tree frog of the Amazon, aka the Phyllomedusa Bicolor. It has been used traditionally by many Amazonian tribes, including the Kaxinawa, Katukina, Amahuaca, Kulina, Yawanawa, Matses, Marubo, Nukini, and Mayoruna. Traditionally, Kambo is used to cleanse, strengthen and energize the minds and bodies of the hunters, as well as treat snakebites, fever, malaria, and other infections, and to clear negative energy referred to as "panema". Panema is similar to depression, worry, anxiety, brain fog, or what some consider "bad luck". Some tribes also use Kambo for fertility purposes.
In the Western world, Kambo is used for a myriad of chronic and acute conditions and addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
Kambo is a non-psychoactive substance and non-addictive. Because Kambo is solely made up of bioavailable peptides, it does not alter your mental capacity, nor does it show up on drug tests.
Kambo has been scientifically shown to contain many complex and bioactive peptides and neuropeptides that the human body reacts strongly and favorably to. These peptides function to regulate the endocrine, digestive, cardiovascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal systems. Additionally, some of the peptides create analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects and others are antimicrobial. There are currently 70 patents out on the peptides found in the Kambo to be used in western medicine.
Kambo is collected humanely by the tribes in the Amazon. These frogs are never harmed and are treated with utmost respect, as the people believe that harming the frog will anger the animal spirits they live so closely to.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Kambo is applied through “gates”; meaning that the top layer of the skin is burned away at specific points to open up a gateway to the lymphatic system. The Kambo secretion is applied on top of those gates so it can get distributed throughout the body.
The Kambo itself is left on the gates for 20-40 minutes. During this time is when you will experience the effects of Kambo, which can include the following: numbness or tingling of the extremities, temperature fluctuations, shaking, sweating, increased heart rate, a swelling or tightness sensation of the face, crying, yawning, burping, and/or purging. All of these sensations are normal and expected, and come as a result of the peptides coursing through and detoxifying the body and spirit.
Kambo requires the client to drink 1.5-2 liters of water right before the secretion is applied. Pure drinking water will be provided for your session.
Every Kambo session is opened with Sananga (sacred eye drops made from an Amazonian shrub) and closed with Hapé (sacred Amazonian snuff).
Along with the traditional application of Kambo, there are also specialized Kambo treatments using Meridian points, Ear points, Chakras, and Marma points. With Dr. Cat's professional training in Chinese Medicine, you can have full confidence in your specialized treatments and the point selection of the Kambo.
